We are working on some new special events that will be for Mom’s Only too!

Meet local moms and get involved with us! 

If you would like to be on a planning committee or volunteer for a shift we’d love to have your help.  Our Community Events are all about having fun and spreading the word to area parents.

American Red Cross Junior Heroes Campaign.  Springfield Moms has pledged to raise $1000 to stay locally for area families who are recovering from a disaster (specifically those who lose their homes in a fire).  Our webpage fundraiser will be live soon with more information.   Become a team leader and WIN great prizes!   More here.

Family Safety Day Saturday April 26, 2008  (partnering with the American Red Cross, St. John’s Children’s Hospital, Fit Club) 

We provide a community information table, diaper changing station and child safety activity to the thousands of area parents who come to this popular event in which kids are fitted for new, free bike helmets! 

Taste of Springfield, Downtown

Saturday  July 12th 2008  

We will be part of the Kids Area Noon-6:00pm   Shifts 12-2, 2-4, 4-6pm.  (Key partner Downtown Springfield, Inc.) 

We’ll provide community information, kids crafts and more; we will need shift volunteers throughout the day and craft sponsors. 

Halloween at the Market 3rd Annual Kids Costume Contest 

Saturday October 25, 2008  9:00 am set up 11:00 Contest  1:00pm tear-down

This has become quite a creative and fun event for us!  We need volunteers to help with contest registration and craft set up and tear-down at this last event at the Farmer’s Market in Downtown Springfield. 

First Night Springfield

Dec 31, 2008  1:00 pm- 4:00 pm 

Springfield High School Annex. 

(Key partner Springfield Area Arts Council) 

We will provide a craft activity for kids of all ages at this popular afternoon event.  Enjoy lots of fantastic local kid-friendly entertainment throughout the afternoon as well. 

We haven’t forgotten that sometimes we just need time on our OWN!

Toys for Tots Thank you! 

Help us sort through Toy donations and eliminate and recalled products!

Toys for Tots  www.sangamoncountytoysfortots.org has over 1500 toys from last year that need to be reviewed to make sure recalled toys do not get distributed this year!
