Showing kids where food comes from is educational and fun, and who knows they just may finally latch on to eating those healthier foods!

Some helpful tips before visiting a farm or roadside market to pick your own fruits and vegetables:

  • Call ahead to make sure they are open and have items to buy!

  • Ask if they provide containers or if you need to bring your own.

  • Make sure that children are allowed; if so, bring a picnic lunch and snacks and make it an outing!

  • Email us pictures of your farming family fun!

  • Have you visited any of these farms lately?  Share your feedback on what you liked best.  All reviews will be entered into our monthly prize drawing!
