What parent isn’t terrified when she thinks about how devastating a fire would be for her family?  I was astounded to learn that, on average, every 48 hours a local house fire affects a family in our community. 

We all want to make a difference, and right now we offer you the perfect opportunity — take time to be a hero!  Please consider helping Springfield Moms reach its goal of raising at least $1,000 for LOCAL families who are victims of fire and other disasters. Campaign funds help families in Sangamon, Christian, Logan, Menard, Montgomery and Macoupin Counties.

Through the “Junior Heroes Pace Setters Campaign” and thanks to a partnership among the American Red Cross, local community groups like Springfield Moms and area schools, we will help children recover from disasters by providing them with food, clothing, shelter, medications, counseling and other necessities. 

How can you help?

1.  You can agree to be a TEAM LEADER and pledge to raise at least $50 for the campaign more here

OR

2.  You can simply mail a check (any amount will help!) payable to the American Red Cross (with SpringfieldMoms.org in the memo line) to Stephanie Fuller, 168 Roanoke, Rochester, IL 62563.  

NOTE:  All ARC donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.  The ARC will send a receipt thanking you.   ALL DONORS will get their name listed on the website.

TEAM LEADER INFORMATION

Springfield Moms encourages some of our more industrious readers to go BEYOND simply making a generous donation to the “Junior Heroes Pace Setters Campaign.”  Become a Team Leader and ask others to do the same!

• All TEAM LEADERS need to do is raise at least $50 for the campaign.  Ask friends or co-workers to donate. 

• Give a percentage of your profits to the campaign if you are a small business owner. 

• Raise the money however you choose—bake sale, lemonade stand, babysitting—be creative!  You can even get your kids involved!

If you wish to be a TEAM LEADER, please let us know.  Email Suzanne Borland so we can recognize you on the SpringfieldMoms.org website!
